Definition of "Luxury" Vehicles on Edmunds.com

A nameplate (e.g. Mercedes-Benz) is classified as "luxury" on Edmunds.com when all of the vehicles bearing that nameplate are classified by us as "luxury" vehicles. This is a somewhat subjective determination that is made by reviewing a brand's history, its promised level of dealer service, the available convenience and safety equipment offered on its models as well as the price range of its models. Currently produced nameplates that Edmunds.com classifies as "luxury" are:

Please note that a model bearing a nameplate that is not otherwise classified as "luxury" may still be classified as a "luxury" vehicle, typically based on the model's price. An example is the Kia K900
